“Whispers of Remembrance” - I often find myself painting a piece with no conscious thoughts; just painting whilst trusting and leaning into my subconscious and intuition.
It’s not until later, and after I have reflected (on the piece) that I realise the ‘moment’, what led to it and what I was surrounded by at the time - only then does the story make sense, as I unpack it. This piece is my translation of events, emotions and time, related to the passing of a family member.
Whispers of remembrance is a soft piece, quietly speaking, yet full of energy — carrying stories of the past into the present. It’s the sharing of family emotions, movement, energy and light, coming together to remind us that love and connection never really fade — they just transform and bloom in new ways.
