This vibrant piece titled ‘Electric Grace’ explores the paradox of strength and softness embodied in the flamingo — a truly unique creature, or bird, often seen as delicate, yet grounded, resilient, and unapologetically bold. I have always had so much curiosity for its shape, stillness and intriguing features.
The exaggerated curve of the neck represents a near-perfect question mark, symbolising reflection, identity, and the quiet power of self-awareness, something I have questioned myself and developed overtime. My favourite pinks and corals ignite against my expressive background, creating stories in itself — colours that collide and harmonise much like the emotional landscapes we all move through in life.
My signature textural brushstrokes and splashes suggest motion and instinct rather than precision, celebrating intuition over control and my ability to let go. The flamingo emerges not from calm waters, but from a vibrant, almost chaotic atmosphere, representing exactly how my thoughts transition — a reminder that grace is not the absence of turbulence, but the ability to stand luminous within it.
This piece invites you to embrace your own vivid presence — to stand tall, curve softly, and exist boldly in colour.
I hope it brings you joy! X greer
