In this pastel and aerosol work, I have captures the quiet resilience of the rare white cardinal—a symbol of individuality, strength, and grace. Set against a dark, dreamlike backdrop of layered silhouettes and twilight hues, the bird glows with quiet defiance. I started this piece back in 2022, found it whilst looking for some black paper… and today, finished it off… upon reflection it truly represents where I am at in my life right now.
