It starts with a Vision

When I have a vision (which is often), I just paint, and I can't really explain that vision, especially in the early stages - it evolves as my work is layered. My backgrounds often determine what I'm painting, when I'm 'free-styling'. How I paint and what I paint with, is based on how I'm feeling and what I think I might want to achieve. The colours I choose, are often based on emotion, unless I'm working on a commission piece or a specific of work.

I am a self-taught Artist and have been painting since I was a child. My style is a real combination of abstract mixed with more defined subjects with aspects and resemblance work of realism.

My work is, and I'm know for creating bold, bright and colourful work which has a real sense of class, character and a unique cheekiness - which is very much a representation of who I am.

I love to experiment with what I'm painting on - from canvas and paper to glass and surfboards, you name it - Greer can do that - just ask me!

I would say that acrylic is my favourite medium. I love its flexibility, how quickly it dries, and how much it changes when you add other mediums, or dilute it (which creates a watercolour effect). I like how it dries quick (good for layering) and you can apply it to just about anything - I would say that almost 75% of my work is created using acrylic, often combined with other mediums, creating different results, making each piece super special.

Watercolour & Illustrations

As a Watercolour Artist and Illustrator I love to experiment with both, together - I let the watercolour work its often, unpredictable magic, then overlaying it with complete control of my unique illustration work.  My style is not realism, it's unique, and simply a result of a vision that I have which is bought to life by a sense of unpredictable control.
